Recent news states that 1,100 of Saddam's defence lawyers (1,100??) have withdrawn, due to safety concerns.
Safety concerns are a "red herring". I am sure that once the lawyers reviewed the evidence, they saw that they don't have a case.
I still can't believe 1,100 lawyers...in addition to the cost of the war in Iraq, I bet the legal costs, to the US taxpayer, will be huge...good luck swallowing that pill.
